Maribeth Lynes, Director
mlynes@uark.eduMaribeth Lynes has served as Director of Recruitment for the Honors College since 2002 after having worked in the admissions counseling field for over twenty years. She served as president of the Arkansas Association of College Admissions Officers and the Arkansas Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers. She earned her M.Ed from the University of Arkansas in the field of Higher Education Administration and a bachelor of arts from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
As Director of Recruitment, Maribeth facilitates collaboration between UA faculty, staff, and current students to help high school students learn about opportunities in the Honors College. She arranges customized personal visits and recruitment events, visits high school classes, and works with teachers and counselors who assist their students in applying for selective programs and scholarships.
Barbara Prichard, Public Schools AP Coordinator Liaison

bprichard@fayar.netBarbara Prichard has been involved with the College Board Advanced Placement Program since the early 1980's. She was a member of the first group appointed to serve on the Advanced Placement Southwest Advisory Council (1996-1999) and was a district contact person collaborating with College Board when the AP Diploma Program was being considered. Prichard has been a presenter at both Regional Forms, at College Board National Conferences and workshops in the SW and other College Board regions. She was involved with the development and revision of Arkansas AP Incentive Program legislation and served as an AR Department of Education appointee to the recommendations panel developing rules for offering Advanced Placement courses and/or concurrent courses. She received an Advanced Placement Special Recognition Award for the Southwest Region in 2004 and is currently serving as an elected member of the four-state Southwestern Regional Council.
Terry Garrity, Registration & Inquiries
tgarrit@uark.eduTheresa M. (Terry) Garrity joined the University of Arkansas in September 1984 as a secretary in the History Department in the Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences. Over the years, she has worked in several other positions including fifteen years in various departments in the Walton College of Business: Management, International Studies, Minority Affairs, and Information Systems. In August 2004, she joined the Honors College as an Administrative Assistant.
Terry Garrity's duties include processing travel for all faculty, staff and students in the Honors College, handling all accounting transactions for the college, and setting up and maintaining mentor stipend accounts for approximately 335 faculty across campus. She is also the registration coordinator for the Advanced Placement Summer Institute, a summer workshop for approximately 300 middle school and high school AP teachers.
