Directions and Parking
We hope you enjoy your time on campus. Below is a list of resources for finding campus and understanding campus parking.
Directions to Campus
- From the South:
- Take I-40 to I-540 North (exit 12). From I-540 North to Razorback Road (exit
61). Turn right on Razorback Road, heading north. The campus entrance is located
at the corner of Razorback Road and Sixth Street.
- From the North:
- After Bella Vista, take I-540 South all the way to Fayetteville. From I-540,
exit Hwy 112 (exit 66). Turn right on Hwy 112 and travel south for 2 miles
until you reach the campus entrance at the corner of Garland Avenue and Cleveland
Street. (After crossing the North Street intersection, Hwy 112 becomes Garland
Avenue.)
- From the East:
- Take Hwy 412 to I-540. See directions from north.
- From the West:
- Take Hwy 412 east via Cherokee Turnpike from Tulsa, Oklahoma, to I-540. See
directions from the north.
Directions while on Campus
- Arrival on Campus
- When arriving on campus, look for the APSI sign
- Once on campus, check-in Sunday and housing will be at the Northwest Quad Residence Hall

- A special map of the campus area will be mailed to all participants with directions for parking.
- Parking
- As a courtesy, all AP® Summer Institute participants will be issued visitor parking permits for the week of the institute.
These permits will allow you to park, free of charge, in designated areas of campus parking.
Please review these areas carefully before arriving on campus. During check-in on Sunday afternoon,
all participants may park behind Yocum Hall on the south side. It is recommended for you to arrive
early in order to get a desired parking space. Class will be in session and students will be on
campus, including various high school camps. Please read parking lot signs to make sure you are
in the right lot and never park at a gold meter. If in doubt, always ASK.
- Individuals who park in off-limit areas will be issued parking tickets according to the U. of A.
Transit and Parking regulations. Individuals will be responsible for paying their own tickets. We can not pay for tickets.
- Participants who wish to pay and park in the parking deck at the Student Union should contact Parking and Transit for
price and payment options. Make arrangements early. Anyone needing a Handicapped Parking Sticker should
make this notation on your registration form. Parking and Transit will have operators on
campus early in the morning issuing tickets for illegal parking.
